An artist's dream
Here
at last, an exposition, the result of a dream, the possibility to make available
to as many people as possiblethe
means to see WITH A SPECIAL VIEWPOINT . . . without distortion. Sometimes,
I see what others cannot imagine (or what others can only imagine).
A
sight, a view, has the potential to be one and unique, and each of us has
the ability to see and express it differently. By the same token, a director
shows us that everyone has a different way of seeing the world.
All
of these photographs were taken as-is; no processing was done in the lab.
The first ones go back to 1973. The camera, a 24 x 36. At the start I used
a PRAKTICA with a 50 mm +, a 128 mm, and now I have a NIKON F501 with plenty
of little buttons that I don't use. But all of my equipment has been terribly
abused; if, in fact, a professional knew what I have subjected my stuff to
it would make him or her heartsick.
I removed lenses, I coupled them with “chaterton” to make telephoto lenses, not to mention lenses removed, turned over and smeared for effect. In a word, you do what you need to do when money is short.
Well
"patching" is necessary when the cash is not here
Most of them are color slides, and there are also black and white photos. The purchase of a scanner was necessary, and a lot of work went into indexing and highlighting them. All of the photographic slides will be scanned again because many of them are not as good as they should be.
I wish you a pleasant and relaxing journey.

There are those who hear, who see, and there are those who look, listen and watch. To take a photo is to hold on to the impression of an instant captured by chance or by choice, creating its own view of what surrounds us. Just as the subjects are varied, so are photographic styles. I really don't have one style as I am interested in everything – taking a photo of a person, a flower, a landscape, a vehicle, etc., always goes back to the moment when the shot was snapped, the circumstances, the means utilized. For me there is just the camera, the lenses and the software used to crop. The photo is currently the best way to bring places, situations and diverse subjects to an audience scattered worldwide via the web (Internet).
I don't belong to an elite group, and if my photos are too numerous
in the eyes of those who believe they are part of this elite, I answer that
I make photos because this is what I have loved doing since 1973. The financial
means have not always been in my favor . . . even now . . . but I will continue
to display these photos to those who cannot travel to the places that I photograph
such that they can take pleasure from their visit to my website and, who knows,
perhaps inspire them to go there themselves.
I don't use flash photography but use instead natural light so as to not distort the mood of the moment. No lenses with zoom. A camera with manual function is enough for me, with the contribution of digital technology to handle the memory card, the shutter speed and opening of the diaphragm aperture, and choice of iso and adjusting for white (when I don't forget to use it), as in the good old days. In the end, the camera would cost a lot less.
Thank
you to “certain people” in the forums and in chance meetings who
helped me out.
